The weekend of 28th August saw the SAHPA North West line long distance overnight event held from Marla 945klm.
Again very nice results being 1st club 1st group & 4th SAHPA, 2nd club 2nd group & 15th SAHPA against 162 owners sending 1,751 birds.
Our first bird clocked (13hrs 17min) was BCH 20508 "Flicka" a super talented yearling daughter from "Phantom" x "Dewdrop". Our second bird clocked (13hrs 49min) was a magnificent late bred daughter from "Supremacy" x "Phantom Girl". Again this result shows the superb ability of our Janssen's and Van Loon's not just at short and middle distance but also the long. 9 from our 12 entries homed at the end of the second day.

The weekend of 21st August saw a difficult race held from Warrnambool a distance of 535klm 1,767 birds competing.
Again our birds scored top results being 2nd club 2nd group & 5th SAHPA, 3rd club 3rd group & 6th SAHPA 1,767b.
Landing two birds together, our first bird in the clock was DCPH 13421 "Vintage Crop" a top daughter of "Grange" and already herself being 5th SAHPA LDC Alice Springs in 2009. Our second bird clocked was BBH 36337 "Electric Blue" a talented daughter of "Brave Boy" Our next two arrivals also scored 4th & 5th club plus 4th & 5th group.

The weekend of 15th August saw our birds score more top results including 2x1st club 1x1st group 1x2nd group 14th SAHPA & 26th SAHPA.
In a 10 bird special from Lyndhurst 500klm a daughter of "ProteChe"x"Dynasty" scored 1st club, 2nd group and 26th SAHPA. In the race from Hamilton 460klm being the South Australian Derby a g-dtr of the"Goldmine Cock" scored 1st club 1st group and 14th SAHPA against 1,686 birds.

The weekend of 1st August saw the SAHPA Adelaide $10,000 race held from Roxby Downs 480klm. With heavy weather conditions no birds homed on the day and only very few birds on the second day.
Our direct bloodlines scored 4th, 9th & 11th.
4th place was won by Peter Virgona and bred from a full brother to "Jaffa" when paired to a daughter of the "Goldmine Cock" x "Magdala"
9th place was a son of "Apollo" and being 100% the same as 1st SAHPA Lyndhurst YBC against 3,972 birds only one week previous.
11th was bred from "Silver Breakaway" when mated to a daughter of "Phantom"


Son of "Apollo" wins 1st SAHPA Lyndhurst YBC 490klm 3,927b.
The weekend of 24th July saw the South Australian Homing Pigeon Association
Young Bird Championship (YBC) conducted from Lyndhurst 490klm. With 3,927 birds competing our wonderful Janssen's and Van Loon's again scored top results including
1st, 2nd & 3rd club, 1st, 2nd & 3rd group, 1st, 9th & 12th SAHPA
Our first bird clocked was a son of "Apollo", second was a g-dtr to "Gilchrist"
(brother to "Apollo") and our third bird being a son of "Gilchrist" x "Pet Hen"

Also another SAHPA race was conducted the same day being from Portland 10 bird special 470klm and again our bloodlines scored nice results being 1st 2nd & 3rd club, 2nd 3rd & 7th group plus 10th SAHPA with a Pape-Webber hen being a full sister to 4th (=1st) SAHPA Wilcannia 560klm 2,453b 2009.

The weekend of 12th June saw a good race conducted from Hawker 305klm. Again our Van Loons scored top results taking 1st & 2nd club prizes plus 3rd & 8th SDC, 5th & 13th Open against 2,732 birds. Incredibly we once again had the first yearling placed in the SAHPA against 176 owners with a top class daughter bred from "ProteChe" x "Dynasty". Our 2nd bird in the clock was "X Factor" a daughter of "Gilchrist" who is the full brother to "Dynasty" Also landing with "X Factor" was a son of "SuperHero" of  Heremans-Ceusters bloodlines and a son of "Phantom" son of "Silver Shadow".

The weekend of 29th May saw a very difficult race from Carrieton 246klm conducted with heavy weather and strong head winds. Again our Van Loons proved that they can handle all weather conditions not just at the long distance but also at the short with a full sister to "Apollo" "Gilchrist" and "Dynasty" being the first yearling placed in the SAHPA against 171 members sending 3,017 birds, landing with this young talent was a daughter of "Gilchrist"

The weekend of 22nd May was the first race for the 2010 season.
Conducted from Carrieton 246klm with 2,884 birds competing. From our 30 birds entered we had 12 on the drop to score 1st & 2nd club prizes plus 5th SDC & 8th open against 2,884b. At the end of the day only one bird did not return.
Again our Van Loon's proved to be excellent at long and short distance racing with a daughter to "Dynasty" taking 1st prize and a daughter to "Apollo" taking 2nd prize. Also landing with these birds were 2 children from "ProteChe" and 2 children direct from "Phantom" now 12 years old being a direct son of the world famous "Silver Shadow"


** "Electric Blue" scores 6th SAHPA Warrnambool 535klm against 1,767 birds 21/8/10.

The eye of BBH 36337 "Electric Blue"one of our young race hens who performed ultra consistently as a youngster being with the first birds to our lofts on many occasions having flown in 2009 Lyndhurst 500klm, The Twins 605klm, Coober Pedy 745klm and Marla 945klm.
